Purushottam Mas Katha: Adhyaya 5 | पुरुषोत्तम मास कथा: अध्याय 5

Distressed by the sorrow of Adhimas, Lord Vishnu reached Goloka with Adhimas to meet Shri Krishna. Accepting Adhimas, Shri Krishna gave it the honor of "Purushottam Maas" and relieved its sorrow.

Narada Ji said, 'O great one! O treasure of penance! After hearing the words of Adhimas in this way, what did Hari say to Adhimas, who was lying at his feet?

Shri Narayan said, 'O sinless one! O Narada! We will tell you what Hari said to Malmas, listen! O best of sages! You are blessed to ask us this true story.

Shri Krishna said, 'O Arjuna! We will tell you the story of Baikunth, listen! When Malmas fainted, Garuda, having received a signal from Hari's eyes, began to fan the unconscious Malmas with his wings. After feeling the air, Adhimas got up and said again, O Lord! I do not like this.

Adhimas said, 'O creator of the world! O Vishnu! O Lord of the world! Protect me! Protect me! O Lord! How are you ignoring me today, who has come to your refuge?'

After saying this, Hrishikesh Hari, who resides in Baikunth, spoke to Adhimas, who was trembling and lamenting every moment.
Shri Vishnu said, 'Get up, get up, may you be well, O child! Do not be sad. O Lordless one! I do not know how to remove your sorrow.'

After saying this, the Lord thought in his mind and after deciding on a solution in a moment, Madhusudan spoke again to Adhimas.
Shri Vishnu said, 'O child! Come with me to Goloka, which is also rare for yogis, where Lord Shri Krishna Purushottam, the Lord, resides.

Situated in the midst of the community of Gopis, with two arms, holding a flute, dark like a new cloud, with eyes like red lotuses, with a face as beautiful as the moon of Sharad Purnima, the abode of the enchanting play of the beauty of millions of Kamadeva, wearing yellow clothes, wearing a garland, adorned with a forest garland, wearing the best jewel ornaments, the ornament of love, compassionate to the devotees, with sandalwood smeared all over the body, adorned with musk and saffron, adorned with the Shrivatsa mark on the chest, adorned with the Kaustuk gem, with a crown made of the essence of the best of jewels, shining with earrings, seated on a throne of jewels, surrounded by attendants, that is the ancient Purushottam Parabrahma. He is independent of all systems, the seed of the universe, the basis of all, beyond the beyond, selfless, immutable, most complete, Lord, beyond Maya, omnipotent, without qualities, eternally embodied. Let us both go to Goloka where such a Lord resides, there Shri Krishna Chandra will remove your sorrow.'

Shri Narayan said, 'Saying this, Hari took Adhimas's hand and went to Goloka. O sage! Where at the time of the previous dissolution, they were only the form of light, removing the great darkness in the form of ignorance, showing the path of knowledge. That light, with the radiance of crores of suns, was eternal, countless and the cause of the universe, and that self-willed Vibhuti had reached the extreme limit of excess. Within that light, the enchanting three worlds are situated. O sage! Goloka is situated above it like the indestructible Brahma.

Whose expanse is three crore yojanas on all sides and whose shape is circular, is a living form of effulgence, whose land is made of jewels. Which is invisible even in dreams by yogis, but which is accessible and visible to the devotees of Vishnu. The best world, which is held by God through yoga, is situated in space.

Free from suffering, disease, old age, death, sorrow, fear etc., adorned with the best jewels, adorned with countless Makaras. Below that Goloka, within the expanse of fifty crore yojanas, Baikunth is situated on the right and Shivlok, equally enchanting, is situated on the left. Baikunth, the circle of one crore yojanas, is adorned, where beautiful Vaishnavas wearing yellow clothes reside.

The residents of that Baikunth, holding conch, chakra, mace, and lotus, are four-armed with Lakshmi. The women residing in that Baikunth, wearing tinkling anklets and girdles, are all as beautiful as Lakshmi.

The Shivlok on the left side of Goloka has an expanse of crore yojanas and is devoid of dissolution, it remains with attendants in creation. Where the very fortunate Ganas of Shankar reside, all the people living in Shivlok wear ashes all over their bodies, wear a snake's sacred thread. The crescent moon is adorned on their foreheads, holding tridents and pattishas, all are Ganga-bearing heroes and all are victorious like Shankar.

There is a very beautiful light inside Goloka. That light gives supreme bliss and is always the cause of supreme bliss. Yogis always meditate on that light, which is blissful, formless and beyond the beyond, through the eye of knowledge through yoga.

Inside that light is an extremely beautiful form, which is dark like the leaves of a blue lotus, with eyes like red lotuses, with a face shining like crores of Sharad Purnima moons, with the beauty of crores of Kamadeva, a beautiful abode of play, with two arms, holding a flute in his hand, with a gentle smile, wearing yellow clothes, with the Shrivatsa mark adorning his chest, adorned with the Kaustubha gem, wearing a glittering crown and earrings studded with crores of excellent jewels, seated on a throne of jewels, adorned with a forest garland.

He is the complete Parabrahma named Shri Krishna. The one who makes the world dance according to his own will, the root cause of all, the basis of all, beyond the beyond, of small age, constantly wearing the attire of a cowherd, combined with the beauty of crores of full moons, compassionate to the devotees, selfless, free from defects, most complete, the master, sitting in the middle of the Rasamandap, of peaceful form, the master of the Ras, of auspicious form, worthy of doing auspicious deeds, the auspicious of all auspicious things, the king of supreme bliss, of true form, never to be destroyed, free from defects, the master of all siddhas, the form of complete perfection, the giver of all perfections, free from Maya, the Lord, without qualities, eternally embodied, the original man, unmanifest, with many names, praised by many, eternal, independent, unique, of peaceful form, those Vishnu devotees who are devoted to giving peace to the devotees meditate on the form of such a Supreme Soul, who is fond of peace, peaceful and devoted to peace. The same one who is said to be the form of this kind, is the same Anandakand Shri Krishna Chandra.

Shri Narayan said, 'Saying this, Lord Vishnu, the embodiment of Sattva, took Adhimas with him and quickly reached Goloka, united with Parabrahma.'
Sootji said, 'After saying this, when Narayan Muni, who had accepted the good deed, became silent, Narada Muni, who was eager to hear various new stories from the ocean of bliss, Purushottam, spoke with eagerness.

Thus ends the fifth chapter of Shri Brihannaradiya Purushottamamasamahatmya ॥5॥
