📖 About Sankalp
A Sankalp is a sacred vow taken before beginning any puja, vrat or religious ritual. It states the day’s tithi, Vikram Samvat, masa, paksha, vaar and nakshatra along with your name, gotra and the purpose of the worship. According to the scriptures, an act done without a Sankalp does not yield its full fruit — so enter your name below to prepare today’s Sankalp.
📿 How to Take the Sankalp
- 1Bathe, wear clean clothes and sit at the place of worship facing east or north.
- 2Take water, akshat (rice), a flower and a small dakshina (coin) in your right hand.
- 3Recite the Sankalp above clearly — including today's tithi, your name and gotra.
- 4When the Sankalp is complete, release the water from your hand onto the ground.
- 5Then begin your puja, vrat or ritual.
