Purushottam Maas Katha: Adhyaya 22 | पुरुषोत्तम मास कथा: अध्याय 22
Valmiki Muni explained the importance of the enlivening ceremony of Purushottam Bhagavan, the sixteen-step worship, and the worship performed with devotion, which is the path to ultimate happiness and liberation.
Valmiki Muni said - After this, perform the enlivening ceremony after the fire-ordeal of Pratibha. Otherwise, if the enlivening ceremony is not performed, that idol will only be called metal, that is, it does not have the element of the deity.
By touching both skulls of the idol with the right hand, definitely perform the enlivening ceremony in that idol of Hari Bhagavan. By not performing the enlivening ceremony in the idols, the part of gold etc. remains the same as before, the deities do not reside in them. O Parthiva! In the idol of other deities also, enlivening ceremony should be performed for the attainment of divinity.
It should be done with the seed mantra of Purushottam Bhagavan and with the mantra "Tadvishnoh Paramampadam Sada", the knower of mantras should continuously keep his thumb on the heart of the idol in the same way and perform the enlivening ceremony in the heart with these mantras. May life be established in this idol, may life be mobile in this idol. May this idol attain divinity for worship, Svaha, in this way, saying the Yajur mantra, perform the enlivening ceremony in all the idols with the root mantras, limb mantras, Vedic mantras, or by joining hands at the end of the fourth-ending name mantras and remembering the respective deities well. Perform the enlivening ceremony.
In this way, after establishing the life, meditate on Shri Purushottam. Meditate on Purushottam Bhagavan with Radha, who has a chest marked with the Shrivatsa symbol, is peaceful, has a complexion like a blue lotus petal, and is beautiful due to having a crooked shape in three places.
