The Saga of Lanka's Victory – Chapter 9: Victory and Return

Victory and Return
After the slaying of Ravana, peace descended upon Lanka, but Lord Rama's mind was troubled by concerns about Mother Sita's purity. After the ferocity of the war, one more difficult test remained before preparations for the return to Ayodhya could begin. The entire Vanara army and the people of Lanka eagerly awaited the next step.
Sita's Trial by Fire
After years of captivity in Ashoka Vatika in Lanka, Mother Sita was brought before Rama. Her radiance was like the sun, but her eyes held a look of uncertainty. Rama said in a grave tone, "O Goddess, the suffering you endured while in Ravana's captivity is well known. However, according to societal norms, it is necessary to prove your purity." Silence fell upon the atmosphere. The eyes of the Vanara army and the citizens of Ravana's kingdom were all fixed on Mother Sita.
Mother Sita replied with a calm demeanor, "If my mind, words, and actions have always been devoted to Rama, then fire will protect me." Saying this, she entered the fire. A cry of despair arose from all around, but the fire did not even touch her. Agni Deva himself fell at the feet of Narayana and bore witness to Mother Sita's purity. The gods showered flowers from the sky, and everyone chanted praises. The sound of "Jai Sita Rama!" echoed through Lanka.
Return to Ayodhya
Vibhishana was declared the king of Lanka. Lord Rama was pleased that Lanka had found a worthy king. Hanuman flew towards Ayodhya to inform Bharata of Lord Rama's well-being. Vibhishana decorated the Pushpaka Vimana and departed towards Ayodhya with Lord Rama, Mother Sita, Lakshmana, and the Vanara army. The Vimana flew through the sky, as if carrying a auspicious message for Ayodhya. Many divine sights were seen along the way, which filled everyone with joy.
When the Pushpaka Vimana reached Ayodhya, the entire city was illuminated with lamps. The entire Ayodhya family, including Bharata, Shatrughna, Mother Kausalya, and Kaikeyi, was eager to welcome Lord Rama. Bharata fell at Rama's feet, tears of separation flowing from his eyes after years. It was as if Ayodhya had received its prince back after ages. Lord Rama embraced everyone with love. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and joy. Ayodhya was blessed by Rama's touch.
Rama's Coronation
At an auspicious moment, Lord Rama was coronated. Muni Vashishtha, according to rituals, installed Rama on the throne of Ayodhya. The directions echoed with the sound of conches and drums. The subjects were extremely happy with the establishment of Rama Rajya. Rama resolved to walk the path of justice and dharma. An atmosphere of happiness, peace, and prosperity prevailed all around.
In Rama Rajya, no one was unhappy or poor. Everyone loved each other and followed dharma. Lord Rama's reign became a symbol of truth, justice, and righteousness. The name of Rama was discussed in every home, and Ayodhya was established as an ideal kingdom. By Rama's grace, dharma was established on Earth, and all the gods rejoiced and chanted praises.
Summary of Chapter 9: In this chapter, Mother Sita's trial by fire and her purity were confirmed. Following this, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya and was coronated, establishing a reign of dharma and justice. This chapter teaches us that truth and dharma always prevail, and peace is established on Earth by the grace of Lord Rama.
