Chamunda's Victory Celebration

The fierce battle of Chamunda had ended. Raktabija was no more; every drop of his blood had dissolved before the Mother's mighty fury. A wave of peace spread across the three worlds, a deep breath free from terror and fear. Now it was time to celebrate victory, time to sing the glory of Mother Chamunda's power and compassion.

Praise by the Gods

The battlefield had quieted, but the assembly of gods was present. Their faces were filled with gratitude and reverence. Surya Deva shone with his golden aura, while Chandra Deva spread his cool moonlight. Indra Deva stood with his thunderbolt, his crown glittering with jewels. They had all gathered to praise Mother Chamunda in one voice.

“Mother Chamunda, you are the embodiment of power. You have granted fearlessness to your devotees,” said Indra Deva. Surya Deva, filling his voice with radiance, said, “O Jagadambe, this world is illuminated by your light. You have dispelled the darkness of Raktabija.” Chandra Deva said in a calm voice, “Mother, your compassion is like the coolness of the moon. You have bestowed peace upon your devotees.”

The gods sang praises together, "Victory to Mother Chamunda, Victory to Mother Jagadambe, you are the protector of this world." This praise echoed throughout the universe, awakening respect and love for the Mother in every particle.

Welcome by the Sages

Along with the gods, a group of sages was also present. They had been performing penance for years and today they were witnessing Mother Chamunda's victory with their own eyes. Tears of joy were in their eyes, their hearts were filled with gratitude. They knew that this peace would not have been possible without the Mother.

Sage Vashishtha came forward and bowed to Mother Chamunda with folded hands. “O Mother, you have made the penance of us sages successful. It is only by your blessings that we can pave the way for righteousness,” he said. Sage Vishwamitra, filling his voice with intensity, said, “O Mother, your very sight brings peace to our minds. Chanting your name removes all suffering.” Sage Kanva said lovingly, “Mother, your power is infinite. You are the primordial energy of this world.”

All the sages welcomed Mother Chamunda, offered her flowers, and chanted her victory. "Victory to Mother Chamunda! Victory to Jagadambe!" This welcome echoed in every direction, becoming a symbol of reverence and devotion towards the Mother.

Celebration of Victory

After the gods and sages, ordinary people also gathered to celebrate Mother Chamunda's victory. They lit lamps, showered flowers, and sang songs of joy. The entire atmosphere became festive. Everyone was discussing the Mother's power and compassion. All together, they thanked Mother Chamunda.

Mother Chamunda smiled gently. Her eyes held love and compassion for her devotees. She blessed her devotees and inspired them to walk the path of righteousness. Receiving the Mother's blessings, everyone was filled with joy.

However, this peace was not to last long. As soon as the celebration ended, a sign of a new challenge emerged. On the distant horizon, the shadow of Shumbha and Nishumbha appeared to deepen. Those two demon kings were coming with their armies to challenge Chamunda Devi. Another fierce battle was about to begin.
