Narad Muni Katha – Chapter 4: Vishnu Devotion and Leela Propagation

Vishnu Devotion and Leela Propagation
Having drunk the poison of ego, Narada Muni had now become pure. Only the name of Narayana echoed in his veena, only Vishnu devotion resided in his heart. After the trials and development of the previous chapter, this chapter shows us how Narada Muni used his divine abilities for Vishnu devotion and the propagation of His divine plays (Leelas).
Propagation of Ramayana and Mahabharata
In the sky shimmering with the rays of the glorious sun and in the peaceful morning, Narada Muni sat under a large banyan tree and strummed his veena. His fingers danced on the strings, and a sweet melody emanated from the veena – the sound of Rama's name. He was singing the story of the Ramayana, the saga of Sita-Rama's love, sacrifice, and dharma. People from the surrounding villages gathered, their hearts filled with devotion to Rama. Tears were in their eyes, tears of devotion, tears of love. There was such magic in Narada Muni's voice that even an ordinary story became extraordinary.
"Rama Nama Satya Hai! There is no one greater than Rama," said Narada Muni, pausing his singing. "This story is not just for entertainment; it inspires us to walk the path of dharma and love in our lives. The life of Lord Rama is a symbol of sacrifice and renunciation." Meditating, Narada Muni thought, "This story will guide people for ages. The divine plays of Vishnu are infinite, and it is my duty to spread them to everyone."
Preaching to Kings and Sages
Once, Narada Muni arrived at the court of a powerful king. The king was immersed in the ego of his power and wealth. He had stopped caring for the poor and needy. Narada Muni preached Vishnu devotion to the king. He told the king that true happiness lies not in wealth and riches, but in the love and service of God. Narada Muni told the king about the various divine plays of Lord Vishnu and inspired him to help the poor and needy. The king realized his mistake and asked Narada Muni for forgiveness. He established dharma and justice in his kingdom.
Falling at the feet of Narada Muni, the king said, "O sage, you have opened my eyes. I was blinded by my ego. Now I understand that a true king is one who serves his subjects." Narada Muni said with a smile, "It is by Vishnu's grace that you have attained this knowledge. Always follow dharma and remain absorbed in Vishnu devotion." By Vishnu's grace, a change came into the king's heart, and he became a righteous ruler, bringing welfare to his subjects.
Singing of Vishnu's Divine Plays
Narada Muni continued to wander the universe, playing his veena and singing the divine plays of Vishnu. He went to heaven, earth, and the netherworld, propagating Vishnu devotion everywhere. The atmosphere became pure with the sound of his veena, and Vishnu love awakened in every being. Wherever he went, he spread the message of love and peace. He narrated to devotees the stories of Krishna's childhood plays, Rama's valor, and Vishnu's various incarnations. There was so much love and devotion in his voice that the listeners were mesmerized. Thus, Narada Muni spread Vishnu devotion throughout the universe.
Narada Muni's journeys did not stop here. His devotion is immortal, and his knowledge is infinite. In the next chapter, we will see how Narada Muni imparted the invaluable knowledge of Vishnu devotion to countless devotees and attained immortality. His stories will be sung for ages!
