Chintpurni Mata Katha – Chapter 3: Mata's Divine Intervention

The Divine Intervention of the Mother
In the previous chapter, we saw how the king tried to obstruct Mai Das in the construction of the temple. A great conflict was brewing between royal ego and the Mother's power. Now, further, Goddess Chintpurni teaches that king a lesson and protects Mai Das, which further increases the devotion of the people towards the Mother.
The King's Ego and the Goddess's Wrath
Silence prevailed in the king's court. The king, who was intoxicated with his power and glory until yesterday, was trembling with worry and fear today. His army had been defeated, and an eerie silence filled his palace, the kind that precedes a fierce storm. He could hear the echo of Mai Das's words, "You are challenging the power of Mother Chintpurni, O King! You will have to bear the consequences." The king was repenting his actions, but it was too late.
The king spoke to himself, "What have I done? I have troubled a devotee of the Goddess. I underestimated her power. Who will save me now?" He prayed for forgiveness for his misdeeds, but the ego in his heart had not yet completely subsided.
Mai Das's Protection and the Temple's Construction
Meanwhile, Mai Das was engaged in the construction work of the temple without any fear. He had unwavering faith in Mother Chintpurni. As soon as the king's soldiers attempted to destroy the temple, a miraculous event occurred. Dark clouds gathered in the sky, lightning flashed, and strong winds began to blow. Fear spread among the soldiers, and they fled. Mother Chintpurni herself had protected her devotee.
Mai Das closed his eyes and meditated on the Mother, "O Mother Chintpurni, may your grace always be upon me. I am merely an instrument; this temple is yours." All the villagers were astonished by his devotion and dedication. They were now experiencing the Mother's power firsthand.
The Lamp of Devotion
The king realized his mistake and apologized to Mai Das. He promised to provide all possible assistance in the construction of the temple. Hearing the king's repentant words, the people's faith in the Mother deepened further. The construction of the temple resumed, but this time, both the king and the subjects worked together with reverence and devotion. The temple was not just being built as a structure, but it was becoming a symbol of faith and belief.
Devotees from all directions were now drawn towards the Chintpurni temple. The Mother's miracle and the king's transformation, both stories spread like wildfire. People were coming with their wishes, knowing that Mother Chintpurni never disappoints anyone. The next chapter will be based on the growing fame of the temple and the stories of the Mother's devotees.
Summary of Chapter 3: In this chapter, we saw how Mother Chintpurni broke the king's ego and protected Mai Das. The divine intervention of the Mother shows that nothing is greater than devotion and faith, and ego always leads to a tragic end.
