Legacy and Dharma

After severe penance on Mahendra Mountain, Lord Parashurama's mind was now calm, like the peace that settles after a storm in the ocean. His eyes no longer held the fire of anger, but a divine radiance, symbolizing the vow to protect Dharma for ages to come. After renunciation and penance, he had to pave the way to establish his legacy and contribute to the establishment of Dharma.

The Boon of Immortality

Lord Parashurama, as a result of his deep penance and filial devotion, attained immortality. His body was now as hard as a diamond, and his soul was filled with infinite energy. He knew that this immortality was not granted to him for his own pleasure, but for the protection of Dharma and the destruction of Adharma in the world. Nature around him was calm, as if blessing him. There was fragrance in the air, and the sun's rays, touching his body, made it even more divine.

Parashurama thought to himself, "This immortality, this power, is not just mine. It is to obey father's command, to protect Dharma, and to destroy Adharma. I have to establish Dharma on this earth for ages." He raised his axe, and resolved in his mind, "Now I will dedicate every breath of mine to the establishment of Dharma."

Contribution to the Establishment of Dharma

Lord Parashurama used his immortality to establish Dharma. He opposed injustice and always sided with truth. He made the earth devoid of Kshatriyas twenty-one times to bring them back to the right path, who had strayed from their way, but he did this not in anger, but with the spirit of establishing Dharma. He gifted land to Brahmins and encouraged them to propagate knowledge and Dharma. He ensured that everyone fulfilled their duties and that peace and order prevailed in society.

The grace of Lord Vishnu always remained with him. He continued to receive guidance and knew that every action he took was in accordance with Lord Vishnu's will. Lord Vishnu gave him the strength never to stray from his path and always to walk on the path of Dharma. His axe held the power of Lord Vishnu, always ready to destroy injustice.

Moral Message: Filial Devotion and Adherence to Dharma

The story of Parashurama's avatar teaches us that filial devotion and adherence to Dharma are the true paths of life. Parashurama obeyed his father's command and sacrificed even his life for the protection of Dharma. His life teaches us that we should always stand by the truth, oppose injustice, and fulfill our duties. His story will continue to inspire people for ages.

He is still alive today, in our consciousness, in our Dharma, and in our inspiration to fight against injustice. Parashurama was a warrior, a Brahmin, and a devotee. He was a wonderful blend of power and devotion, of Dharma and justice. His legacy will always be immortal, and his name will always be taken with reverence.
