Meaning of the Aarti
In the first stanza, "Victory, victory, victory to Ravi, Shashi, Som, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani Maharaj," the names of the Navagrahas are chanted, celebrating their glory. Ravi (Sun), Shashi (Moon), Som (Moon), Budh (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), and Shani (Saturn) are all addressed as 'Maharaj' (great king), signifying their greatness and power.
The main sentiment of the aarti is the devotee's prayer to the Navagrahas to bestow their grace, and to provide happiness, peace, and prosperity in their life.
