Victory Over Evil

In the previous chapter, we saw how the Earth had sunk into the abyss and Lord Varaha resolved to save it. Now, the time for a fierce battle had arrived, a battle that was to be fought between Dharma and Adharma, between good and evil. Creation seemed to have paused to witness this decisive moment.

The Beginning of the Great War

Lord Varaha, carrying the Earth on his mighty tusks, rose from the abyss. His form was radiant, as if the brilliance of the sun was contained within him. His angry eyes were searching for Hiranyaksha, who, intoxicated by his demonic power, was hiding in the depths of the ocean. The ocean was in a state of tremendous turmoil, as if two mountains were colliding. Fish and other aquatic creatures were fleeing in fear. The roar of Lord Varaha shook all three worlds. This war could no longer be avoided.

Hiranyaksha roared, "Who is this who dares to enter my kingdom? Who is this Varaha who challenges me? I will end him with my mace!" He raised his powerful mace, which looked as terrifying as time itself, and ran towards the roaring Lord Varaha. His heart was filled with arrogance and anger.

The Slaying of Hiranyaksha

A fierce battle ensued between the two warriors. Hiranyaksha struck Lord Varaha with his mace with great force, but Lord Varaha thwarted the blow with his strong body. Lord Varaha also attacked Hiranyaksha with his tusks, causing his body to bleed profusely. During the battle, the ocean water turned red with blood, as if the Earth's anger had erupted. The gods watched this scene from heaven, fearful yet hopeful.

Lord Varaha, who was in fact an incarnation of Vishnu, was thwarting all of Hiranyaksha's attempts with his divine power. Finally, Lord Varaha severed Hiranyaksha's head from his body with his discus. With Hiranyaksha's death, the darkness that had enveloped the abyss began to recede, as if the light of the sun had spread again. Chaos erupted among the demons. Dharma had triumphed by the grace of Vishnu.

The Establishment of the Earth

After the slaying of Hiranyaksha, Lord Varaha, carrying the Earth on his tusks, slowly lifted it out of the water. He re-established the Earth in its former position, bringing an atmosphere of peace and happiness all around. The Earth, which had been distressed by sinking into the abyss, was now joyous upon being re-established. Trees and plants began to sway again, rivers flowed with a gentle murmur, and all living beings chirped with joy.

After saving the Earth, Lord Varaha revealed his divine form. All the gods praised him, and the gods in heaven showered flowers. Lord Varaha assured that whenever Dharma would decline and Adharma would increase, he would surely incarnate and destroy evil. Now was the time to restart life on Earth, a new beginning, filled with peace and love.
