Chapter 7 of the Vaishno Devi Katha — Establishment of the Vaishno Devi Temple. Vaishnavi merges into a rock in three heads (Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati), and her temple is established, blessing devotees.

Establishment of Vaishno Devi Temple

After slaying Bhairon, Vaishnavi knew that her earthly purpose was now fulfilled. Bhairon's death had not only ended the demon but also granted him salvation. Now was the time to fulfill the promise she had made to her devotees and to sanctify the place where she would be worshipped for ages to come.

Merging into the Cave

After Bhairon gave up his mortal form, Vaishnavi returned to the same cave in the Trikuta mountain where she had performed her penance. Her face was radiant with divine splendor, and her mind was filled with supreme peace. Inside the cave, she made her devotees feel that the time had come for her to be eternally established in her formless state. A wonderful fragrance spread through the air, and the chanting of divine mantras echoed within the cave.

Vaishnavi said to her devotees, "My dear devotees, I was born to establish righteousness on earth. Now my work is complete. I will merge into a rock within this cave and reside here forever. You all can worship me here. Whoever has my darshan with a true heart will have their wishes fulfilled." A smile graced her face, and her eyes held a compassionate expression.

Establishment of the Holy Temple

As soon as Vaishnavi said this, a divine light spread through the cave. Amidst that light, Vaishnavi slowly merged into a rock. Three Pindis (forms) appeared – those of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. These three Pindis together formed the form of Maa Vaishno Devi. From that moment on, this cave became the holy temple of Vaishno Devi. The devotees chanted, "Jai Mata Di!"

Maa Vaishno Devi blessed her devotees and said, "Whoever comes to my abode will never be disappointed. I will fulfill all their desires and bless them with happiness, peace, and prosperity. This place will become a center of power and devotion, where people will come to find liberation from their sorrows and walk the right path in life." It is believed that Maa Vaishno Devi still protects her devotees today and hears their prayers. By her grace, happiness enters the lives of devotees.

Moral of the Story and Blessings to Devotees

This story of Vaishno Devi teaches us that truth, righteousness, and devotion always triumph. This story also teaches us that God always protects his devotees and fulfills their wishes. The temple of Maa Vaishno Devi remains a symbol of faith for millions of devotees today, where people come every year to have her darshan and receive blessings.

This story will continue to inspire people for ages to come. It will continue to assure them that Maa Vaishno Devi is with every devotee, no matter where they are. Just as the Mother granted liberation to Bhairav, similarly, she destroys the sins of her devotees and grants them salvation. Jai Mata Di!
