Vaishno Devi Katha – Chapter 4: Confrontation with Trilok Nath

Confrontation with Trilok Nath
Chasing Bhairon Nath, Vaishno Devi was moving towards the higher peaks of Trikuta Mountain. There was a cool chill in the air, and an aura of determination shone on the face of Mother Goddess. Bhairon Nath was about to face the consequences of his actions, and Vaishno Devi had to cross another important milestone in her journey.
First Meeting with Baba Trilok Nath
Amidst the mountains, in a serene and picturesque location, Vaishno Devi saw a sacred fire. An old sage sat near the fire, his eyes sharp and calm. Years of experience and wisdom reflected on his face. Smearing his body with ash, he sat in meditation, as if immersed in the depths of the universe. The surrounding atmosphere became sacred and peaceful with his presence. Vaishno Devi felt that this was no ordinary sage, but a great soul.
Vaishno Devi bowed at his feet and said in a humble voice, "Greetings, Baba Trilok Nath. I have come to seek your blessings. Will you bless this unfortunate one?" Baba Trilok Nath opened his eyes and said with a smile, "Come, daughter, I was waiting for you. You have come for the welfare of the world, may your path be illuminated." The Mother Goddess said, "Baba, a wicked obstacle is obstructing my path, can you tell me how to get rid of it?"
Test and Knowledge
Baba Trilok Nath said with a smile, "Daughter, every obstacle in your path is a test. Trilok Nath does not give anything directly to anyone. He tests first." Saying this, he took out a Rudraksha from his matted locks and gave it to Vaishno Devi. He said, "Daughter, hold this Rudraksha and with your divine power, return it to my matted locks. If you can do this, consider that you have passed half the test."
Vaishno Devi took the Rudraksha in her hand and focused her consciousness. She tried to send the Rudraksha to Baba Trilok Nath's matted locks using her power. In the first attempt, the Rudraksha rose slightly in the air, but then fell down. Vaishno Devi did not give up. She tried again, this time with more concentration and firm resolve. Finally, the Rudraksha flew and settled in Baba Trilok Nath's matted locks. The Mother Goddess felt that this was not just a test of power, but a test of patience, resolve, and faith. Baba Trilok Nath bestowed strength upon Vaishno Devi with his smile and blessings.
Indication of the Further Journey
Baba Trilok Nath told Vaishno Devi that on her further journey, she would have to go to the Ardhkumari cave and perform penance. He said that by meditating in that cave, she would achieve complete realization of her power and purpose. Baba blessed Vaishno Devi and said, "Daughter, your future is bright. You are the form of the power that has incarnated to establish righteousness. Your penance will be successful, and you will bring welfare to the world." Vaishno Devi bowed at the feet of Baba Trilok Nath and proceeded towards the Ardhkumari cave, her mind filled with peace and enthusiasm.
Summary of Chapter 4: Vaishno Devi meets Baba Trilok Nath, who tests her. By passing the test of returning the Rudraksha to his matted locks, the Goddess learns the importance of patience, resolve, and unwavering faith. Baba instructs her to perform penance in the Ardhkumari cave, which signals her further path.
