Complete Construction of Ram Setu

In the previous chapter, we saw how, with the help of Hanuman and the tireless efforts of the Vanara army, the obstacles created by the sea god were overcome. Now, the construction of the bridge was in its final stage. The enthusiasm of the Vanaras was at its peak, each stone being placed in the sea with the chanting of Ram's name.

Completion of Setu Construction

There was an amazing sight over the sea. Millions of Vanaras were bringing stones of different sizes, and Nala and Neela, displaying their amazing engineering skills, were carefully joining those stones. The sun's rays were falling on the blue water of the sea, and the sound of Ram's name was echoing throughout the atmosphere. There was fatigue on the faces of the Vanaras, but in their hearts was unwavering devotion to Ram and a determination to conquer Lanka. They knew that this bridge was not just a collection of stones, but a realization of the hopes and aspirations of their Lord Shri Ram.

Nala said to Neela, "Neela, look! The last stone has also been placed. By the grace of Shri Ram, we have made this impossible task possible." Neela replied with a smile, "Yes brother, this is all the power of Lord Ram. Now we will soon reach Lanka, end Ravana, and free Mother Sita."

Inspection of the Setu by Ram

Upon completion of the Setu, Shri Ram inspected the Setu with Lakshmana and Hanuman. He carefully looked at each stone and praised the work of Nala and Neela. The bridge was extremely strong and beautiful. There were tears of gratitude in Ram's eyes. He looked towards the sky and thanked the Sun God. Ram extended his hand towards the bridge and touched it, as if he were blessing it, as if he were infusing all his power and hope into that bridge.

Shri Ram said to Hanuman, "Hanuman, this task would not have been possible without your devotion and the unwavering efforts of the Vanara army. You are all blessed. This bridge will be a witness to our story for ages to come." Hanuman fell at his feet and said, "Lord, this is all your grace. I am just your servant."

Departure for Lanka

After inspecting the Setu, Ram ordered the departure for Lanka. A new wave of enthusiasm ran through the Vanara army. Millions of Vanaras climbed onto the Setu chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'. Ram, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Sugriva, and Jambavan were all leading the army. This amazing army built over the sea became a symbol of victory. Ram's confidence and the unwavering courage of the Vanara army were indicating the destruction of Lanka. The departure for Lanka was the beginning of a new war, a war between righteousness and unrighteousness, and in which victory would certainly be of righteousness.
