Temple Construction Work
In the previous chapter, King Bir Chand miraculously had the darshan of Naina Devi and received the Mother's blessings. The memory of that vision was still fresh in the King's mind, as if it happened yesterday. As per the Goddess's command, it was now time to begin the construction of the temple, so that everyone could have the darshan of the Mother and receive her blessings.
Foundation Stone
An auspicious time was chosen. The entire kingdom was rejoicing. The priests chanted mantras, and King Bir Chand himself laid the first stone of the temple's foundation with his own hands. The foundation of devotion and faith was laid in that stone, which would remain unbroken for generations to come. Chants of "Jai Mata Di" echoed everywhere, as if the sky itself was filled with the Mother's praises. The King's heart was filled with gratitude, and there was a sparkle in his eyes, as if he had embarked on the most important task of his life.
The King thought to himself, "O Mother, you have bestowed this fortune upon me. I promise that this temple will forever sing your glory. I will spare no effort in serving my subjects and will ensure that everyone is blessed by having your darshan."
Spread of Fame
The construction work of the temple progressed rapidly. Skilled artisans worked day and night, and soon a grand temple began to take shape. Its beauty and grandeur started to spread far and wide.
