The previous chapter concluded with the order of concessions and exile, which filled the hearts of the Pandavas with deep despair. Draupadi, burning in the fire of humiliation, now knew that this was not just an ordinary defeat, but a deep conspiracy against Dharma. The arrogance of the Kauravas and the weakness of Dhritarashtra had shaken the foundation of justice. It remained to be seen if Dharma would be able to protect itself.

Draupadi's cry echoed in the assembly hall, as if it were not just the cry of one person, but of all womankind. Her hair was unbound, her eyes a mixture of anger and pain. As Draupadi's disrobing was happening, and Dushasana was pulling at her clothes, Draupadi called out only one name for her protection – "O Krishna! O Lord of Dwarka, save my honor!" As soon as his call was heard, Krishna's divine power began its work. Draupadi's clothes became endless, Dushasana kept pulling, but the clothes showed no sign of ending. The entire assembly hall was astonished. All the power of the Kauravas was exhausted; they understood that this was no ordinary event, it was divine intervention.

By saving Draupadi's honor, Krishna proved that when Dharma is in danger, He Himself comes to protect it. He also showed that prayer made with true devotion and a true heart is never in vain. Those who commit injustice can never escape, because no deed remains hidden from God's sight. This event was a symbol of the power of Dharma and the destruction of injustice.
