Legacy and Policy

After the fervor of festivals and rituals subsided, the hustle and bustle of devotees continued at the Ambaji temple. In every heart, there was a deep sense of devotion and gratitude towards Ambaji Mata. Under a large banyan tree in the temple courtyard, Pandit Janardan was seated. His eyes shone with knowledge, and a serene smile graced his face. Villagers were gathered all around, eager to hear the important teachings of the Ambaji Katha. The fragrance of incense sticks and the sweet sound of bhajans filled the air, sanctifying the atmosphere. An elderly woman, Kakibai, sat at the forefront, leaning on her stick, looking forward with curiosity.

Mata gives us the strength to fight our inner evils and embrace goodness.” Kakibai said softly, “Pandit Ji, all this sounds very good to hear, but how do we incorporate it into our lives? The world is full of deceit and cunning.” Pandit Ji replied with a smile, “Kakibai, chant Mata’s name, and in every action, maintain a sense of justice and compassion, and the path will naturally become clear.”

Unwavering Faith in the Goddess

A young farmer, Ramesh, was very disheartened due to the failure of his crops. He had prayed to Mata Ambaji, but still, his crops were ruined. He sat sadly in the temple, looking at the idol of Mata. Just then, his gaze fell upon the temple priest, Shridhar. Shridhar came to him and gently patted his shoulder.

“Ramesh, I know you are disappointed, but Mata never abandons her devotees. This failure is a test for you. Mata wants you to work harder, and have more faith. Remember, after every night comes the morning.” Shridhar told him that Mata’s grace would always be upon him if his heart was true and his actions were pure. Ramesh found new hope in the priest’s words and resolved to work hard again. Within a few months, his crops flourished. He witnessed the grace of Mata Ambaji with his own eyes.

Establishment of Righteousness and Virtue

The ultimate aim of the Ambaji Mata Katha is to establish righteousness and virtue. It teaches us that we should always be kind and honest towards others. It also teaches us that we should fulfill our duties and discharge our responsibilities towards society.
