In the previous chapter, we saw how Mother Ambaji destroyed the demons to protect dharma and blessed her devotees. After receiving those blessings, the devotees were filled with gratitude and organized festivals and rituals dedicated to Mother Ambaji's devotion.

Navratri Celebration in Ambaji

The Navratri celebration at Ambaji temple is a wonderful sight. The entire temple is adorned with flowers, rangolis, and lights. An atmosphere of devotion and enthusiasm prevails everywhere. Devotees observe fasts for nine days, sing bhajans and kirtans, and remain engrossed in the worship of Mother Ambaji. The environment becomes devotional with the beat of drums and the echo of Garba dance. This festival, which lasts for nine days, is a symbol of faith and joy. Devotees come from far and wide to have a glimpse of the Mother. Their hearts are filled with unwavering devotion towards the Mother.

One devotee said, "It is only by the grace of Mother Ambaji that there is peace and happiness in our lives. Worshipping her during Navratri fulfills all our desires." Another devotee said, "These nine days are extremely important for us. We pray to the Mother that she always guides us." The feeling of contentment and devotion was clearly visible on their faces.

Special Rituals and Worship

During Navratri, many special rituals are performed at the Ambaji temple. Every day, different forms of Mother Ambaji are worshipped. Devotees, wearing special clothes and adorning them with flowers, offer them to the idol of the Mother. Some devotees light an Akhand Jyoti, which burns continuously for nine days. Havan and Yajna are organized, in which devotees offer oblations while chanting mantras. Kanya Pujan is also an important ritual, in which young girls are considered as forms of the Goddess, worshipped, and offered food.

By the grace of Mother Ambaji, devotees receive strength and peace. They forget their sorrows and worries and become engrossed in the devotion of the Mother. It is believed that Mother Ambaji hears the prayers of every devotee and fulfills their desires. Her divine presence makes devotees feel safe and joyful.
