Ambaji Mata Katha – Chapter 3: War and Blessings

War and Blessings
In the previous chapter, we glorified the greatness of Ambaji Mata's Shaktipeeth. The unwavering faith of devotees and the boundless grace of the Mother were described. However, this greatness was not limited to peace and devotion alone. This power was also for the war against injustice and the re-establishment of Dharma.
Terror of the Demons
As the glory of the Shaktipeeth grew, so did the fear in the hearts of the demons. Horrific demons like Mahishasura and Chanda-Munda had wreaked havoc on Earth. They tormented gods and sages, disrupted sacrifices, and oppressed innocent beings. There was an atmosphere of fear and despair all around. Devotees had hope in Mother Ambaji, but the terror of the demons had shaken them to their core. There was a question in their eyes, "Will Mother protect us?"
A devotee, Ramlal, said to his wife, "This tyranny is unbearable. Will Mother Ambaji free us from these demons? My heart trembles with fear, yet my soul is dedicated to Mother's feet." His wife, Sita, replied, "We must have faith. Mother Ambaji is almighty. She will surely protect us. Her blessings are our only refuge."
Ambaji's Rannachandi Form
Hearing the call of the devotees, Mother Ambaji assumed the form of Rannachandi. Her radiance was as intense as the sun, and numerous weapons adorned her arms. The lion was her vehicle, and she resolved to destroy the demons. The Mother roared, "Now the end of the demons is certain! Dharma will be re-established!" Her roar echoed in all directions. The gods also chanted her victory.
Mother Ambaji fought a fierce battle with the demons. With her power, she slew horrific demons like Mahishasura and Chanda-Munda. By her grace, the Earth was freed from the terror of the demons. Joy and peace filled the hearts of the devotees. They chanted Mother's victory and bowed at her feet. Mother Ambaji blessed the devotees with fearlessness and inspired them to walk the path of Dharma. She said, "Whoever worships me with a true heart, I will always protect them."
Re-establishment of Dharma and Blessings
With the destruction of the demons, Dharma was re-established. Gods and sages resumed their sacrifices and penances. Devotees immersed themselves in the devotion of Mother Ambaji, singing hymns and chanting. An atmosphere of happiness, peace, and prosperity spread everywhere. Mother Ambaji bestowed many blessings upon her devotees. She granted children to the childless, wealth to the poor, and health to the sick. Her blessings were always with the devotees. In the next chapter, we will learn about the festivals celebrated in honor of Ambaji Mata and the rituals performed for her worship.
Summary of Chapter 3: In this chapter, we saw that Mother Ambaji re-established Dharma by destroying the demons. She bestowed wonderful blessings upon her devotees and granted them the boon of fearlessness. The spiritual message is that good always triumphs over evil, and devotion offered with a true heart is never in vain.
